Best games for thrustmaster t150

Unlike the best gaming keyboards or gaming micethe best racing wheels are decidedly niche. But, what is the best racing wheel on the market right now? Well, we here at TechRadar have gathered up all the best racing wheels you can buy today. For years Logitech made virtually the default console race wheels - the Logitech G25 and G27 were crackers. That comes with good and bad parts. First, the G29 is a lot more affordable than the direct Thrustmaster alternatives, the T series wheels.

The quality of the wheel itself is great too. Fanatec and Thrustmaster charge a lot more for leather wheels. The Logitech G29 gets you higher-end extras at no extra cost.

Its pedal board is much better than anything else at the price too, with a board that has a clutch and very solid metal plates. There is one reason to prefer a Thrustmaster wheel, though. The Logitech wheels still use a completely gear-based system for their force feedback rather than belts.

10 Best Thrustmaster Ps4 Compatible Games Reviews

Like it's PS4 counterpart, the G is more affordable than Thrustmaster wheels but still boasts great quality. However it also comes with the same downfall of being a bit nosier than most wheels on the market. What makes the Thrustmaster T RS one of the best racing wheels is the improved force feedback system. Any force feedback wheel will add a whole new dimension of fun to reasonably realistic racing games like Forza Motorsport and Driveclub, but at the price these Thrustmasters are the obvious choice.

The steering wheel is solid and very grippy, but uses a rubber grip rather than a leather one.

What Games Can You Play With Thrustmaster Wheels?

Many people will be fine with the material, but after using the G29 we did miss the feel a little. The pedal caps are metal, but this is really just a basic plastic construction, without the stiffness of a great board or more advanced features like a high-end progressive brake.

These wheels are actually part of a system — you can get other steering wheels and more advanced pedal boards, the T3PA and the fab T3PA Pro. Much like with the G29 and G, these Thrustmaster wheels are essentially the same but boast the key difference of working with different consoles.

Again, the TX boasts a force feedback system and is considerably quieter than the Logitech G29 with a rubber-grip wheel, but it does lack a lot of the little touches that make the Logitech wheels great - including a more comfortable wheel - and the pedals have some issues.

So, what are the differences between T and T RS? The main one is that while the T RS has force feedback driven entirely by belts, the T uses a combo of a helical gear system and a belt. The parts that seem a little cheap in the more expensive Thrustmasters are even more budget-y here, though. All-plastic, flimsy pedals are miles off what you get with the Logitech wheel.

Their low-resistance action makes them feel like arcade racer fodder, while the force feedback is definitely deserving of the most navel-gazing of realistic driving sims. The exterior of the steering wheel part itself is also all-plastic, without the metal parts that make these wheels seem a bit less toy-like.

There are still sports car-like metal spoke shifters behind the wheel, though. A wheel that packs in a lot of substance if not the luxury touch, the Thrustmaster T is probably the best budget wheel around.

They use the same wheel base tech, but have the controls and compatibility chips needed to get on-board with these seemingly picky consoles. That means, like with the Thrustmaster T, you're looking at a great budget wheel with excellent force feedback but downfalls include a notchy feel and pedals that are wanting.

Fanatec makes some of the best, and most expensive, racing wheels going. The Fanatec CSL Elite is actually one of its more affordable models, made with a mainstream audience in mind, not least because it supports consoles rather than just the PC.

As usual there are different versions for Xbox One and PS4, and the Microsoft version is actually slightly cheaper.Unlike many other games, you can actually play the game using the default force feedback, it's certainly not terrible. Though, I felt like a lot of road details were getting lost and it just didn't feel quite right. It turns out there is a very easy fix that makes the force feedback feel much better. In this guide I will show you how to download and install it, as well as the in-game settings that I found work best with it.

You will need a free account at RaceDepartment to download this file. This is a very nice custom force feedback file that drastically improves the experience. Installation is simple. You will notice that there are a couple of other options to choose from, but I found this one to be the best. Use the same procedure as above to try them out if you like. Volume controls the overall weight of the wheel. You may want to adjust this depending on the car you are driving and according to your personal preference.

FX controls the rumbling effect of kerbs and road surface details. You can raise this a little depending on your preference. I would go no higher than 5. I found that using this custom force feedback file brought a lot of clarity to what I was feeling through the wheel.

I don't have to fight the wheel and it gives plenty of information about the road and what the car is doing. Driving feels natural and it is easy to push the car harder as I have more confidence in the information I'm getting through the wheel.Disclaimer: We are using Amazon affiliate Product Advertising API to fetch products from amazon, include: price, content, image, logo, brand, feature of products which are trademarks of Amazon.

Additional information Brand ThrustMaster. Reviews There are no reviews yet. Quick View.VRally 4 is an arcade rally racing game. It supports using a wheel, but the default settings for the Thrustmaster TMX and T are so awkward that I almost gave up entirely.

Using the wheel just seemed to make the game much harder to control. Obviously something was wrong. The game is a lot of fun and I knew there must be a way to improve the wheel settings.

Thankfully, with a little trial and error, I found out that the game had some misleading control settings with bad default settings that truly were making the game much harder to control. Fixing these makes the game feel much more natural and greatly improves the gameplay. The physics aren't altered, of course, so the cars still take some getting used to if you are coming from the DiRT Rally games, but now that the wheel isn't actively making the game worse, I can enjoy the game on its own terms.

For the TMX specifically, the bindings for controlling the menus are incorrect. This leads to an annoying mismatch between the on-screen button prompts and the actual button you need to press. This can be corrected with a little text file editing.

If you aren't using the TMX wheel, you can safely skip this section entirely. But if you are, you will have noticed that the A and B buttons aren't bound correctly for navigating the menus. In fact, A acts as the "cancel menu" button, making it particularly awkward, with one of the LB buttons acting as the "select menu" button instead. This file contains all the button bindings for every supported wheel. Looking through it, I found that the TMX incorrectly shares the same bindings as the T and several other wheels that share those same buttons.

The TMX has a unique button layout, however, and so needs its own unique button bindings. Open InputBindings. That text contains the new bindings for the TMX. The last thing we need to do is remove the old TMX bindings from its shared list. It is the last one in the list. If you already have been playing the game, you will need to go into the control settings and reload the TMX preset for these to take effect.

The main thing that needs to be fixed is the steering angle. VRally 4 has a steering rotation angle setting, like most games, except in this case, it is actually changing the driver-level rotation angle. When you quit out of VRally 4 and check your Thrustmaster Control Panel, you will see that the rotation angle has been changed.

There is something very awkward in the game's calculation when this is set less than the wheel's maximum rotation. The wheel actually feels much better when you increase the rotation to the maximum level, and raise the steering sensitivity value to get the desired rotation angle. You have to be careful not to accidently load another control preset when navigating through the menus in this game.Fulfillment by Amazon FBA is a service we offer sellers that lets them store their products in Amazon's fulfillment centers, and we directly pack, ship, and provide customer service for these products.
